The behavior of humans sometimes is remarkably similar to many animals, including deer. During a certain season of the year, male deer become very aggressive and "fight" with other males for the females. This behavior appears to be genetic. A large percentage of the genes of humans are the same as those of other mammals, including deer. The same genes, which make deer behave that way, also seem to be in humans, although possibly with some modifications. The presence of large amounts of testosterone in young human males is probably the root cause of much criminal behavior. This hormone, combined with the genetic factors mentioned above, causes many strange behaviors, such as competing using 32 pieces of wood on an 8x8 squares board. If one is objective, one must recognize that pushing pieces of wood on a board is really stupid. Modern man has become really screwed up. Now they compete and play ego games with chess programs! This can only be explained as a really weird perversion of the original intent of the genes in question. These genes originally served to promote the well being of the species. Weird, weird, weird!
