After a very deep computer search, an advantage of less than a pawn is shown for f4. I suspect that one hour per move computer search by a very fast machine with a very good program will find at least one mistake in every GM match with more than a trivial number of moves. On the other hand, a super GM spending one hour per move will also surely find at least one mistake in every computer/computer match. Kasparov's ego should be apparent from when he lost the second Deep Blue match. Even if he agreed to throw it, I suspect he would go ahead and clobber anyway if he could. He has a win as white and a draw as black. Quite frankly, I think both parties have performed superbly up to this point. Can you draw Kasparov? Surely, Kasparov has prepared like a madman. He does not want the embarassment of losing to a machine again. I doubt if a billion dollars would make him throw the match. He already has money. What will he sell his reputation for? Be serious.
