Dell (and most/all other major OEM vendors) absolutely gouge people on the price
of memory.  $4000 for 4GB of RAM may seem incredibly high (and it is, really,
when you can buy it yourself for ~1/3 the price), but I've seen some far worse
prices on memory in the past.
