That's what I would think also, although I have heard of some high schools (to use the American term) that have both beginning and advanced computer programming courses. In one advanced class, they had to do a full fledged database with hash algorithms and searching by various keys. It was an all-year project of course, and I suspect that this was a private school.... jm
