My "good capture" generator was asymmetric... ie. it was generating BxN for black but NOT for white... messed the search up very nicely :) Now its fixed and it seems to be working fine. I'd love to implement a good SEE but it looks quite tricky. Have to think about it before diving in. Thanks, Ross
