You make some good points.   I'm only using the Deep Sjeng post as the latest
example.   I'm also referring to a lot of other postings that I've seen as well
as comments I've heard from others I correspond with in the computer chess
community.

For example, Ron Nelson (a very active chess programmer for Excalibur...used to
work on the Fidelity series of chess computers) no longer participates in this
forum.   Seems that much of the posters here only wish to discuss the latest,
greatest, fastest, multiprocessor topics.   There seems to be little room for
discussing slower systems such as handhelds.

Thanks Joachim for your comments!  You are of course right that there is going
to be "lively discussion" in any group that is not overly moderated.
