GM Yates,

I agree with you 100%. Not because you are a GM but because I have had several
matches exactly like this. I played a fellow who has an old FIDE rating of
about 2180. If he continued to play FIDE matches today he would easily be at
least an IM. This person is an excellent anti-computer player and I used
Shredder against him and could do no better than an even match no matter how I
tried. I played Petr Kiriakov using Chessmaster 9000 and had a draw. To his
credit he recovered from a very difficult position. This is why I believe
someone else should play these matches against the Chessbase programs. Someone
who has no fear. Of course Chessbase would stand to lose everything if an IM
was chosen to play against their program and they were defeated. There are
those out there who are not necessarily rated super GMs that could give as good
an account of themselves as Kasparov did.

I also have had many games with an unknown GM who played under the Russian
Federation flag who goes by the name Messir. They were mostly 15 0 minute games
and overall he destroyed me, some on time. He is also a member of ICC.com

The games and specifics I refer to can be provided on Instant Chess.com. The
human player's true identify will remain anonymous at his request. Many of the
GMs and IMs know him personally and I have the utmost respect for him.
