Pawns are easy meat for a Queen connected or not. The reach of the Queen neutralizes anything but the most exotic positions. A queen forced to acting as a blocker for a pawn OTOH is seriously limited. Exceptions abound but the general rule is that any amount of pawns won't be worth much. MvH Dan Andersson
