You can search the opening very deep if you want to. I have had diep versions in the past where i have put a big bonus for center pawns and a king being safe behind a shelter. So it wants to castle badly then and put pawns badly in center. It gets depths like 22 ply easily then. So openings position is not so interesting simply. Big bonuses guiding the development in a clear way are more important than the number of CPU's there in itself is.
