I don't know but could Tony be using something similar to Rebel? Ed explains it well on his website but basically he scans the possible moves, including the xray moves, and creates an 8 bit attack value for each square and each colour. This value can be used to lookup the outcome of a set of exchanges. Could this be what Tony does? Regards, Steve
