In 1995 the GUI was right. This time the GUI was wrong and the engine was right? Nothing to convince me of pure motives like _consistency_. Or consistently inconsistent as the case may be. :) > >Most often Jaap's decisions are well founded and competent. Most might be 90%. But 10% wrong for a TD is _horrible_. Look at the history of CC with IM Mike Valvo directing CC events. We _never_ had such nonsense. >It's not his job to become friend with everyone. >ICGA and Jaap probably act a bit unlucky this year. Luck has _nothing_ to do with this. Many of us have been harping on "auto interface only" for 20+ years. ICCA did nothing. We brought up the shared GUI/BOOK issue. ICCA did nothing. I brought up a known clone (1996 WMCCC) but ICCA again did nothing. They seem to be very good at doing nothing, and reaping the rewards. >About the "List"-case - no idea, only some rumors. >Let's wait a few days until we get more information about it. It was handled _poorly_. The author's reputation is ruined no matter what happens. Were it me, I'd be contacting my attorney and ICGA would be taking out a huge loan or going bankrupt... > >Regards, >Gerd > > ><snip>
