You can hardly walk into one of our local Best Buy stores and buy an AMD-based machine. At Christmas, I saw exactly one AMD machine out of dozens that were on display... I think AMD is making a huge mistake in trying to pigtail onto Intel's "bandwagon" rather than highlighting their speed advantages...
