The auto232-protocol works over a nullmodem cable or over the network. Your engine must have some special commands for starting a new game etc. -> when it has them there is a adapter so that you can connect via auto232... maybe you eMail me about that - in the meanwhile I search for the description... Greets, Thomas P.S.: There might exist at least one problem: my tries to get it to work with Windows XP and some old DOS-chess engines were so far not successful... but I will try with a windows 98 box in the near future... especially when I see some interest for it... PPS.: Other engines which I had hoped to see playing maybe once was e.g. Diogenes...
