>It definitely searches a tree and it is pretty strong. It does tree-search for local tactical reading, but afaik it actually lacks a global alpha-beta tree search, and it is not pretty strong as in pretty strong compared to average humans who play the game on a regular basis (for a program, it is pretty strong though).
