Hi

Here's where it gets interesting !

I deleted all of the ini files as you suggested. I then deleted everything to do
with chessbase from previous installations so as far as i was concerned I was
starting off afresh with a chessbase clean PC. I then checked DirectX and I am
running version 8.1. I loaded Fritz8 up again, turned off the firewall and
Norton Antivirus and hey presto it worked !!! I got into the program,
registered, played Fritz and went on Playchess - Great !!

Not Really

I turned the program off as something in my mind was saying would it work if I
retried it !

NO !!

Its doing the same old thing, with the box disappearing after about half a
second (not 5)

HELP
