Actually, I find 3 minute with no increment very challanging, and at the risk of contridicting my views about improvement, I feel that after all these hundred & hundreds of 3 minute games, my concentration is improving, and my understanding of how to beat these (Idiots), ah, eh, I mean fellow chessplayers is increasing. Chess playing is a very subjective experience, and rating tends to 'prove all', in terms of where one stands, so I put a lot of stake in that, but one thing I can say for sure; Playing other humans is a lot more challenging to my pathetic male ego than any of the programs are. That's why I use them only for analysis now, if at all. Eventually computer technologie will improve so that we can have a cam view of each oponnent accross from us, and then it really will be just like a chess club:) mrslug - the inkompetent chess software addict! > >Dan Kiski
