I play at vog and for me the problem is you carry a standard rating of 2200 or
so and then you blitz for the first time in your life and people want to play
1/0, so you try and naturally when you are playing people that have over 1000
games at 1/0 regardless of how good either you or they are you will lose on time
and it is like how can this guy be 2200. For me personally I don't think my game
can improve at such extreme blitz, I might make more moves but the quality of
those moves to be honest is pretty poor.

I have also found a tendency to eliminate thinking at regular time controls as
your mind is saying move, move and it is tough to get back down to analysis that
don't take place when blitzing. I can't see how playing blitz games can improve
your actual playing strength.
