Hi Joel, Proving it mathematically is what I was talking about. Whether or not that is realistic or practical is not the issue. The issue is, at what point can you say that your move generator is absolutely correct? My point is that you can't make that claim unless you can prove it. I wasn't saying his test suite wasn't a good idea. I was saying that assuming that your move generator is absolutely correct and is therefore beyond any further scrutiny is not a good idea (unless you have proven it to be correct).
