Hey Russell,

Of course you are correct, but is your stance reasonable?

Have you studied much philosophy? You sound very much like you would enjoy some
(epistomological) scepticism!

eg, How do you really know I am a conscious entity (like yourself)? I act like
one, yes. You can talk to me, yes. I even can describe similar experiences to
what you have. But you can't say you know 100% sure that I am a conscious
entity.

It's an interesting arguement, but one I don't think about anymore because I do
not see it's relevance. I just put it out of my mind, assume the other people
are conscious like me, and move forward - it makes my relationship with my
friends and girlfriend that little bit much better! :)

Similarly, There comes to a point I believe, where you just have to assume you
move generator is correct, otherwise you will live a life filled with paranoia!
Add in a decent amount of search instability, some weird draw scoring, and you
have the makings for a nightmare!

Just wondering, given your stance, have you proven your move generator to be
correct? It would be a nice thing to see.

Joel
