it seems that not very many countries take a strong interest in computer chess The US ,Germany,Holland seem to be the ones with the most interest then perhaps Great Britian ,Israel,France ,Canada and Ireland we see very little from Austraila ,Eastern Europe,Spain ,Portugal,Mexico and South America in general not to even mention Africa,China etc etc at first blush the quick response would be that ,those countries are not so up to speed with computer technology in general so it only stands to reason they are not into computer chess but i think its something more.. in all of my years collecting the old chess computers,the vast majority of collectors come from either the US or Germany Fidelity even had a satellite office in Germany from the early days to sell their computers and yet Chess in general is popular in many countries worldwide any thoughts on this?
