How are you calling see. v = -see() or v = see() or v = piece + see .....? Your code (from previous post) isn't as mine but that could be in how you call see. Also, my attempts at see are slower than my other methods. It seems best to selectively use see in the main search and maybe the qsearch as well. As stated by Tony, -8000 sounds like pawn-queen. So the issue could be a combination of the function and how you call it. So, how are you calling see? Charles
