Check your setup. Somehow you have a "learn=0" somewhere. Here's the log
output that shows that:

playing a computer!
EGTB cache memory = 8M bytes.
hash table memory = 96M bytes.
pawn hash table memory = 24M bytes.
book learning disabled
result learning disabled
position learning disabled
pondering enabled.

Notice you are running with _all_ learning disabled, for whatever reason. That
will cause it to just play the same opening over and over unless the opponent
varies. Not good for results of course.

Either your crafty.rc file has "learn=0" (default is learn=7 and if you have
_any_ learn= command it should obviously be 7 to avoid problems) or else the GUI
you are using has some sort of option checked that says turn learning off...

All you really need in your crafty.rc file is the hash setting command, and any
path command you need if you have egtbs available. Other commands such as
ponder=on are not needed. IE default is learning enabled, pondering enabled,
etc..

If you can find where this is wrecked, things should be ok once again...
