I could overclock it to 2.5Ghz, without any problems. It runs stable and smoothly. In Holland the boxed version of this CPU costs E 191 at the moment. A single cpu faster than this costs **A LOT** more money. The FX-55 is the only faster one and costs E 781. An alternative is the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ that is more upgradible in future, but is slower and costs E 50 more. I would advice that you invest E 100 extra for good/fast memory instead of E 600 extra for 5% more speed: 512MB x 2 (1GB) PC3200 DDR CL2 (Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPRO) E 269,- This memory looks solid for future upgrades, since it fits in socket 939 too. Cheers, Michel
