I'd love to have my engine play. I think the best thing about CCT7 was the large number of participants. So I'd prefer a Swiss with a lot of rounds and therefore very short time controls. The most popular Blitz on ICC is probably 5 0 and with one of the TD bots doing the pairing that would be under 15 minutes per round. A 16-round tournament would be easy. And nobody in Europe or North America would need to be up at night. The commentary was terrific and added a lot to the interest of the spectators. Obviously it's hard for one person to comment on 22 blitz games simultaneously. Perhaps the engine authors could write one brief line of commentary each game?
