The theory about where Fischer got his idea of being Jewish is too elaborate. He
had a much closer Jewish specimen, namely his mother. Fischer is just another
example of the strange phenomenon of Jewish self-hatred (there are famous
examples in Karl Marx, Otto Weininger & others).

In regard to what theory Hitler had about WWI, I believe he adopted the "stab in
the back" story, which was widely believed by nationalists in Germany after the
war. As it went, defeatist circles (Jews, socialists etc.) forced Germany to
capitulate although it was not really defeated on the battlefield (it is true
the Germans surrendered before being thoroughly smashed). Hitler was no
peacenik, and his sentiments were with the "German elite" that fought WWI, not
against them. It is a fact that Jews were involved in the failed communist coup
and the liberal Weimar republic that followed the war, which was probably
viewed by Hitler & co. as part of the "stab in the back".
