This may very well be true. Nunn & Burgess did not use the same high standards
of improving orriginal works. That is, putting the addendums' & analytical side
notes at the bottom of the page, which was used in the Keres, Alekhine,
Capablanca & other recent works by Nunn especially. As far as Fischer right(s)
to his own manuscript are concerned, I think we need to here from an attorney,
or someone more in the know about the situation on expired copyrights. From
what I have heard/read, there was an effort by Bastsford to contact Fischer
regarding his royalties, and even desire by them to see if Fischer wanted to put
imput into this new volume. As usaul Fischer did not ever reply to them. He
may well have claimed that they never actually contacted him, but as we know
Fischer has never made it very easy for anyone to contact him, even when it
could have done him a lot of good! So again I have little sympithy for him on
this matter. If he keeps 'getting ripped off', it is because he is not willing
to pay competent legal representitives' to represent his civil liberties. It is
known that he is very unwilling to sign contracts, and like many GM's, only
thinks about what he is getting in business, not with why business people would
want to be involved with him. (To make money of course!). It is no wonder
Fischer hasn't done anything, but have an illegal match with Boris Spassky in
the last 27 years. And that a match where Fischer was rather unconcerned with
who was running it, and what kind of War and attrocities were happening around
him. Again, as far as his stuff is concerned, we have not heard all the facts
about this. Fischer claims he paid his atorney a certain amount of money per
year to look after these interest. This is Fischer's side. But based on what
we know about Fischer, it is very likely that he owed money for a long time,
and/or that he was not reachable to make the crucial decision about what the
legal entities should do. As you know, if you don't pay your rent, you
eventually wind up being evicted; the rental corporation does not care a whit
about who you are & what you achieved in you life. And of course they don't care
what was in you apartment either. They use well established legal methods to
clear out that apartment (In Fischer's case, Safe and/or storage facility), and
dispence with what was in there so that they can rent to someone else.

Like everyone else, I await more of the actual facts about this issue. And it
does not make me anymore caring for Fischer that he spouts all this vitrolic
hatred every time he speaks. Clearly, he is not dealing in the reality of the
every day world...
