Perhaps I'll give it a try this weekend. As far as the various search techniques you mentioned, this is an intriquing time for me. I've finally gotten serious about a new engine and I'm slowly adding in the techniques mentioned. My testing is much better now then when I started chess programming, so I hope to get a better quantative feel for the value of each addition. Of course we'll see... --tom --tom
