Can you tell me your exact setup? starting position as in initial chess position? hash sizes? any other non-default values? I can't make "illegal hash move" show up in any way, which suggests a problem either with the compiler you are using, or the hardware, or something. If this were common, we'd be seeing it everywhere, yet no one else is seeing it.
