My short summary of the article: "Never trust a statistic you haven´t forged yourself." seem to be a well known cite of Winston Churchill. The journalist Chritoph Drösser of the German newspaper "Die Zeit" doubts very much the authenticity of this cite. He even argues, that Churchill believed very much in statistics. Regards, Dieter
