i dont think you can avoid it Terry
the only way i know is for someone with an already exisiting working Eporm to
copy it and then give it to you

however many collectors have eprom copiers and are usually willing to help other
collectors out

the loss of data on an eprom can take many many years ..
i have computers from 1977 that are perfectly fine.
one of the factors contributing to the loss of data would be if a particular
computer was displayed alot in direct sunlight rather then kept in a dark place
in its box for example

i know direct sunlight is very bad for eproms

the problem with my T8 module is that it is VERY VERY rare and so its almost
impossible for me to find who has it and is willing to copy it for me

Best
Steve
