This all sound pretty bad, with the exception of some units like CC1 etc. still
have program intact eproms.

I'm not a collector, but do have two old dedicated units, the Fidelity Designer
Mach III (1989) and the Novag Super Forte "C" (1990) and I doubt there is
anything I can do if the eproms die.

They are never exposed to UV, which will erase the eprom, and are stored in
their boxes, in the dark away from heat or light.

So what would be the life expectancy under these conditions?

Vexed Regards,
 Terry

P.S. Maybe I should do a google search, to find out more.
