There is no misunderstanding. I have observed your antics here for a long while
already. How could I not? Next to Rolf and Chandler you revel in your
importance. You may be a celebrity of sorts in your home country, and a old
timer here, so I don't know if that causes you to think you have the right to
make jokes and pour scorn on people (in a warm or jokingly way only of course)
you disagree with.

When posting on the net, you will notice that there are some people who almost
always reply when someone addresses them. No matter what, such persons tends to
or wants to have the last word. The only exception maybe is if the person
replying expresses 100% agreement.

And if the first person gets into an arguement with the second person are both
of the same type, we have a long almost unending thread.

You are one of such people I think. And I am usually one of those people. But
I've long realised the futility of such discussions, in the end it's just shows
the ego of the person wanting the last word. And I usually let you have it. That
doesn't mean i agree or you win the argument.

And *I* tend to lose my patience with the few know it alls, who under the guise
of jokes think they are the ones blessed with the vision (and are not myopic)
and the right to lecture the whole forum because they think people have 'a
sanctimonious vision of everything, beginning with this trival hobby of chess
computers'.

And yes, behind all the claims of joking and laughing at yourself, in the above
paragraph, I think you finially confess at least partly the real intent of most
of your 'jokes'.

>I wonder why this people is so myopic.

Indeed, compared to the all seeing and wise Fernando? Don't borther telling me
you make fun of yourself as well, that's merely a cover you use so you can claim
you play the role as a joker.

I disagree with many things that are said here by many posters, in some ways I
even agree with some of what you say, but I don't call these people 'myopic' or
think they have a 'sanctimonious view' or their interests trival just because
they don't interest me. If anything I find your own attitude as sanctimonious as
anything as anything said here with all your lecturing.

If that makes me sanctimonious too, so be it. At least I admit it.

Just because the majority view disagrees with you on say the importance of chess
stength, you feel free to lecture everyone and make jokes as if everyone was
stupid and crazy but you. There are other valid view points then just yours
Fernando, and i'm surprised for someone who (please correct me if I'm wrong)
happily admits to be a old fart, hasn't yet grasped this concept.

PS You are not the only one who can play shrink or psychological games.
