I think that positions when the sides has except pawns less material relative to
queen and rook are considered as endgame by most chess players and Rook 2
bishops and 6 pawns against rook bishop and knight and 6 pawns is an example for
an endgame.

I am not sure what long haul means but my guess is that the engine(assuming the
quality of opening book is the same) is better than other engines(except maybe
latest Gambit Fruit).

I use only the 32 bit version but I think that in comparing the engine it is
more fair to use the 64 bit version that is more than 50% faster.

I also guess that for the engine slightly positional is better than very
positional.

 The program has some problems- however strong it may seem.  Not an opinion

I agree that it has some problem but inspite of them the engine may be the best
engine that is available today.
