hi Stuart As I had a bit of time over xmas I was tinkering with a couple of simple mods to my chess prog, one of which was a crude form of mobility, not yet sure whether it helps or not, wouldnt surprise me if it was a retrograde step I will run a similar test as yours if I know what time per test position you used ? Incidentally, there is a wacnew.epd around, which is wac plus some fixed positions I guess. Not sure which one you used ? Regards Geoff
