hi, I am new to this forum and pretty new to computer-chess in total. I am FM and not using this for computer vs computer, but to play vs the computer and get many situations to practice on. what troubles me with rybka (i have rybka 1.0 beta 32bit, downloaded from his site some weeks ago) - it has no opening books, it thinks for "best move" from first move instead of playing a known good opening. for example, when i play vs spike 1.0a mainz - it has the common opening and knows the 'best' opening for certain situation. (not for sure best, but the way the engine wants it). I use Arena for running the engines, and after some time trying to set it i just give up. if anyone can help me with putting a good opening book into rybka, i will greatly appriciate. thanks for any help
