I'm no expert on Arena or Rybka, so take this advice with that in mind! www.playwitharena.com (a site you are already familair with) has opening books for any engine that Arena supports. Click on the "Arena Mainbook" link on the left side to download Harry's book which is supposedly quite good. I'm too poor of a player to say how good it is, but others seem to think it's OK. Beyond that, you can experiment with building your own book from scratch if you want by reading in PGN game scores of GM games and such. Once you have a book, next steps are to tell Arena to use it. You should pull up the Engines -> Manage dialog and click on the Details tab. Then, select the engine (Rybka in this case) on the left side and over on the right side, click on the Books tab. In that field, you browse for the book you created/downloaded. Next, exit from that dialog and under Books -> Manage, also select the book you created/downloaded. I've always done both, not sure if this second step is really necessary and no time to test just now... Hope this helps, Roy
