well, weaker opponents may play moves not considered and the selected moves may
turn out to we useless...one cannot put everything in the book...also a
commercial book is meant to let the user play against it and not give moves
which would work against some weak programs...

No, the people who cares about opening books wants a reasonable selection also
for restricted books and not only one move...that would be too boring...

well, it is not so easy and may not work...if a lower time is given on the
opponent which may cannot use the opponent time to search further, it may come
out with a different move...also there are learning features, so after one or
more wins the opponent may select a move that changes the score completely!

Much...much less than you think...it depends it the added moves are really good
and the program can understand the resulting positions...it is not just a matter
of more moves...
