The position is difficult for computers to start with. There are a lot of pieces on the board, and there are 50 possible moves to consider. Here is crafty's evaluation of the position: r1b2rk1/3pqppp/p1nNp3/3nP3/5P2/1N1B4/1PPBQ1PP/5RK1 w - - acd 11; acn 100005332; acs 790; ce -20; pv f5 f6 fxe6 dxe6 c4 Nxe5 Nxc8 Rfxc8 cxd5 Nxd3 Qxd3 Rd8 Rd1 Rxd5; After moving to the target square, crafty can see the reversal at C.A.P. time controls. It does not see a major benefit yet, but +.43 is a pretty good swing. r1b2rk1/3pqppB/p1nNp3/3nP3/5P2/1N6/1PPBQ1PP/5RK1 b - - acd 13; acn 100096763; acs 650; ce -23; pv Kxh7 Qh5+ Kg8 Rf3 Nf6 exf6 Qxf6 Bc3 Qg6 Rg3 Qxh5 Rxg7+ Kh8 Rg5+ Kh7 Rxh5+ Kg6 Rg5+ Kh6; Even after this position, the long term advantage is not clear: r1nq1rk1/1pp1bppp/p1n1p3/2PpP3/1P1P1P2/2N1B2P/P3BP2/R2Q1RK1 w - - acd 14; acn 100109808; acs 858; ce -26; pv f5 Bh4 fxe6 fxe6 a3 N8e7 Bd3 Nf5 Qg4 Nxe3 Qxe6+ Kh8 fxe3 Qg5+ Kh1 Qxe3; Hence, in order to see it {and if a sure win exists}, a program would have to be able to go beyond 15 plies. I doubt if any will.
