	It has to do with ego. People feel better when they (or their programs) have a
higher rating. I really do not see why, perhaps because I do not play online.
	I understand why a professional chess player wants to increase her/his FIDE
rating, as it means more invitations to better tournaments.
	But rating points at online chess servers seems worthless to me, nobody will
give one gram of tea for one hundred rating points at ICC (:
