  I don't doubt that(in your view )you had justification (rightly so or not)
  for deleting the post, but there is the rub...you deleted a post by another
  moderator (elected by us to represent us) who felt justified (right
  or wrongly) in making the post to  start with. In my view unless there is
  agreement by at least two of the three moderators there will always be the
  potential for this kind of devisiveness/controversy. I doubt very much that
  the deleted post would have created anything near this level of consternation.
