If the "new crafty" you are referring to is 9.31, then the "old ones" you refer
to might do better at those tests.

Crafty is up to v16, and I'd be very surprised if any 16.x version didn't do
better than 9.x with respect to the testing you mention.

Crafty has always been optimized for a reasonably quick machine.  Your point re:
the P100 is well-taken.  You'd probably just need to test them both and see.
