If someone asked me to be moderator I would, But if I was nominated no one would
vote for me. See you have to sort of be an all round nice guy, not one to cause
a bit of trouble. Or someone who has done something in the field of computer
chess, like Bruce.

Take two moderators now

Karinsdad - He was a nice guy persona, but he has made some decisions on here
which have changed my view on him, not in a bad way mind you, but just something
which I though he would tolerate he has not.

Bruce - Programmer of a well know chess machine, so he can get away with a bit
of this and that.

Put these two people into, especially bruce into someone like me, and I would
not be recongnised. Unless you have some claim to fame or are very well know on
here with some backing from other well respected people on here, my chances of
ever becoming moderator is about zero.

It would be interesting though to put a few names down on ppaper with a few
question about how other people see them and look at what others think.

I already know what you think Harald, we have had our discussions. And I think
the only person I ever took a stand on as a moderator was Will, I have no idea
what kind a bloke he was, but as moderator he did some things which required a
stand. Which I took.

And as long as I put Moderation in the topic title I can take a stand on issues
which require fighting for.

I have not taken a stand on much lately, this place without CM6K discussion is
boring at the moment. No new polls, no new reports, people like Amir which I
used to read and a few other guys do not seem to post here anymore. So there are
only a handful of people that I read posat from, and only a handful of topics
that interest me.
