Just sent a copy of KissChess to a newcomer interested in source code for chess programs yesterday. Had to tell him that although John Stanback wrote the engine, we hadn't been able to find him on the web. KissChess is a slightly modified program which I believe you knew as C_chess, John. You wrote it for unix, very basic interface. I modified the interface, and hoped to use it as the starting point for a rgcc newsgroup chess programming (open source) project, but that never happened. Wanted to let you know about it, your name is still on the program. As far as I know. no one is working on it. I didn't put it there, but I have seen it on Gambit-soft's shareware download page. If it bothers you, John, let me know and I'll delete it from my files, and ask the Gambit folks to do the same. Best of luck with Zarkov (looks strong!), and good to have you back around. Dave
