In this case the compile times were slower than MSVC and the generated code was still slower. Overall development system usefulness is largelly dependent on the projects I'm working on. RAD systems are great if I don't want to deal to closely with the interface issues. However the compilers are the backbone of a devlopment system, so I like to use the best compiler. regards. hristo
