Hello Patrick,
What's your problem? We are discussing the pro's and con's of CSTal-2. If you
don't have anything constructive to add why don't you just ignore us. One of
the claims by CSTal-2 proponents is that it plays better vs humans than computer
"Bean Counters". The game I posted is just the other side of the coin. In fact
most all computers on ICC can claim to play better vs humans. It's a well known
fact if you avoid the strong computers and only allow humans to play your
computer account you will have a higher rating. This is true of CSTal-2 also of
course. But CSTal-2 style often leaves it very vulnerable. Often after a sac
for the attack it fails and then it is subject to lose. It's style is
interesting. If Chris or Thorsten wants to call this a "Gem" of a chess program
that's fine also. It does however have it's idiosyncrasies.
