Yes, it was easy to figure out WHY the question came to mind. The problem is
that it is more difficult to figure out why it was allowed to be an opinion poll
question.

If you read posts:

you can understand how easy it is to interpret that "circumstantial evidence" in
a more positive light. I am not saying that anything untoward was done or not
done with regard to the SSDF. I am saying that the original post allegations
should not have been aired here without any sort of real proof and that mistake
was compounded by making it an opinion poll question.

Yes, I also understood that the intent was not to question the motives of the
SSDF. However, just by asking the question, the motives of the SSDF and
therefore by default the motives of the volunteers who make up the SSDF members
(some of whom happen to be members here), are put into question.

Yesterday, Dann sent me an Email as a joke. It asked the opinion poll question
of whether people thought I was stealing code from someone in order to write my
program. Although it was very humorous, I might have been slightly offended if
Dann would have posted the message in this public forum as opposed to sending it
to me in private since the joke concerned my honesty. The same applies to asking
everyone's opinion about allegations against members of this forum. The poll
question was in extremely poor taste at the least.

KarinsDad :)

PS. I do not want to make a big issue of this and this is the last I will harp
on it.
