Go up one level in this thread

If you have a reasonably recent computer, you only need to change motherboard,
CPU's, and perhaps memory. You can do it yourself or find a knowledgeable friend
or a shop.

My advice: go for the cheap solution. If you HAVE to buy now, an ABIT BP6 with
two Celeron 500 CPU's will cost less than $500 (plus memory if necessary).

Otherwise, wait for the introduction of the new Celerons with 100 MHz bus. If
Intel does something to prevent them being used in dual coonfiguration, you can
buy whatever P-III is entry-level in two or three months - it will probably be
550 MHz and very cheap. Intel is changing ALL its chips now, this is not a
particuarly good moment to buy.

I certainly would not buy dual PIII-733's... but if you do, well, it's still
going to cost you less than the shrink would :)
