I realize that you are having a good time with takebacks. But... If one is trying to learn by playing against a computer, then probably the optimal way is to allow a fixed number (maybe 2-3) of takebacks per game to see how the stategical backbone of the game develops. These takebacks can be done after the game is over (If they were not immediately fatal). Then the "game" becomes a very instructive set of 2-3 variations to study. Of course, talking about "beating the computer" is inappropriate in this context. Hate to say something serious in the middle of the fun, Walter
