The rating discrepancy can also be explained by the considerable difference between the Swedish or Elo rating system and the USCF system. In some cases, the difference can be as much as 200 points. For example, a USCF master might be an expert according to the Elo ratings, and a USCF expert might be a Class A player. The CRA ratings are based on the USCF scale.
