I have Windows 2000, and I installed Fritz6 standard. There are several problems, I need help with. 1. It keeps asking for the CD to play, all during the game. I would prefer to work off the Hard drive but there is no such option. 2. The installation leaves no trace of it in the add/remove utility of Windows. I tried to uninstall it but invoking the uninstall utility does not list as an installed program. Fritz6 itself does not give an uninstall option. 3. The program looks for the opening book in a particular directory, but the opening book was not copied to that directory during the installation. 4. I reinstalled it as custom and checked all the options, and that has not solved the problem of the requirement of CD in the drive. 5. After one installation, it would not load: kept making a fatal error and windows would close it down. I had to reinstall it one more time. QUESTION: Has anyone successfully installed Fritz6 on windows 2000/NT so that it has worked perfectly, without continually asking for the CD? If so I would truly appreciate help. Please feel free to email the response directly to me in addition to posting it on the message board. Thanks. Sincerely Alam
